The Annual Forum for Foreign-related Chinese Legal Talent cum Belt and Road Legal Services Forum in Chengdu was organised by the All China Lawyers Association on 27 October in Chengdu. More than 400 foreign-related lawyers attended the event to study the role of foreign-related legal service in the development of the Belt and Road Initiative. At the invitation of the Sichuan Lawyers Association, Mr. C.M. Chan, Vice President of the Law Society, attended and spoke at the Forum on “Legal System of Hong Kong Free Trade Port and Hong Kong lawyers’ Business development Related to International Investment and Financing”. Subsequently, Mr Chan signed a supplementary memorandum of understanding on behalf of the Law Society with the Sichuan Lawyers Association on 7 November in Hong Kong at the “Sichuan-Hong Kong Roundtable Meeting 2018” to further promote the cooperation and exchanges between the legal professions of the two places.
