Brave swimmers conquered the rough sea in New World Harbour Race 2018

On 21 October 2018, over ten brave swimmers from the Law Society Swimming Team conquered the bumpy sea in the New World Harbour Race 2018.

The annual event was participated by over 3,300 local and overseas swimmers. All our team members completed the 1-km swim across the Victoria Harbour from the starting point at Tsim Sha Tsui Public Pier to the finishing point at Wanchai Golden Bauhinia Square Public Pier. It was a physically demanding swim but at the same time an enjoyable and memorable experience.

Although competition was keen, our Ms. Chang Lai Shan Eliza, Honourary Swimming Captain and Former Chairlady of the Recreation and Sports Committee, won Champion in the Women Open C Group Race, and Ms. Chan Hiu Ching Agnes, Swimming Captain, came second in the Women Government Departments Invitational Race. Let us give the Swimming Team a round of applause!

It was a truly unique experience to swim across the Victoria Harbour. The Swimming Team looks forward to more swimmers taking part in this large scale world-class sporting event in the future.
