Courses for Peking University Law School Students and Guangdong Trainee Lawyers

Since March this year, the Law Society has organised a series of lectures entitled “An Introduction to Legal Services and Risk Management for Cross-border Transactions” for students of the Peking University Law School. The 5th and 6th classes were held in May. Mrs Cecilia Wong, Council member, and Mr Ambrose Lam, Past President and member of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee (“GCLAC”), spoke on “Globalisation of Chinese Lawyers”, while Mr CM Chan, Vice President, talked about “Cross-border Wealth Management”.

In addition, the Law Society arranges training courses in Guangzhou regularly for Guangdong trainee lawyers. The first training course this year was held on 8 May. Mr Lawrence Yeung, member of the GCLAC, introduced the lawyer system in Hong Kong and legal protection issues in overseas investment for Mainland companies.Mr CM Chan, Mrs Cecilia Wong and Mr Ambrose Lam with students of the Peking University Law School.
