CUHK LAW has been awarded the Best Respondent Memorial in the 11th Leiden-Sarin International Air Law Moot Court Competition.
The International Air Law Moot Court Competition co-organised by the International Institute of Air and Space Law of Leiden University and the Sarin Memorial Legal Aid Foundation provides an opportunity for students seeking to gain experience in the development of arguments in the field of international law and international air law. This year, 24 law schools across the world, including National University of Singapore, Leiden University, University of Cologne, University of Mississippi, and three top-tier Indian universities, participated in this international competition. In the memorial round, CUHK LAW won the Best Respondent Memorial and was placed 2nd for the overall ranking with a score of just one point less than the first-place team. With the outstanding memorial ranking, the CUHK LAW team will be in an advantageous position to compete with the 24 participating teams in the oral rounds to be held in St. Petersburg, Russia in October 2020.
The CUHK LAW Air Law Moot Team consists of Au Yan Chi (PCLL), Chung Cheuk Kwan Christine (PCLL) and Hung Tsung Yi (LLB). The team is coached by Professor Jae Woon Lee with the support of student coaches, Hung Wei Chung Ellie (PCLL) and Kwok Shun Yu Beatrice (PCLL), who are former CUHK LAW Air Law Moot Team members.
