To foster closer relationship and understanding between lawyers and Chinese enterprises in Hong Kong, the Law Society and the Legal Affairs Steering Committee of the Hong Kong Association of Chinese Enterprises jointly organised an exchange session with Chinese enterprises in Hong Kong on 10 May at Hong Kong Jiangsu Center, which attracted about 150 lawyers and business representatives.
President Melissa Pang kicked off the event with a welcome speech. In the presentation session, Mr CM Chan, Vice President and Chairman of the Greater China Legal Affairs Committee, as well as Ms Carmen Kan, General Manager of Legal and Compliance and Operational Risk Management Department of Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited, discussed the compliance issues of Chinese enterprises in Hong Kong investing overseas, as well as the work of Hong Kong lawyers serving Chinese enterprises operating in Hong Kong and developing overseas business respectively.
