The Hong Kong Academy of Law (“Academy”) organised 15 seminars in December 2016.
A seminar entitled “Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Privacy” was held on 12 December 2016. It introduced participants to the recent applications of big data analysis and artificial intelligence, explained the challenges brought by these innovative technologies to privacy and personal data protection and discussed the conduct issues when using artificial intelligence and information communication technology. 131 participants attended the seminar.
The speakers of the seminar were Mr. Stephen Kai-yi Wong, Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data, Hong Kong and Mr. Amirali B. Nasir, Solicitor, Nasirs.
