The Hong Kong Academy of Law

The Law Society and the Hong Kong Academy of Law organised a total of 75 seminars in September, 17 of which had an audience of over 100. These seminars included:

  • “Civil Justice Reform Training Programme: Specialised Session – Modules 1 to 5” held on 6, 14 and 22 September respectively;
  • “Update on Legal Aid Schemes” held on 8 September;
  • “Hong Kong e-Legislation” held on 12 September;
  • “The Solicitors’ Accounts Rules as amended by the Solicitors’ Accounts (Amendment) Rules 2012” held on 13 September;
  • “Interpretation Issues of the Hong Kong Basic Law: the Hong Kong Courts vs. the National People’s Congress” held on 13 September;
  • “Assessment of Damages in Fatal Accident Cases” held on 19 September;
  • “Representing a Client in Mediation” held on 19 September;
  • “Testate Succession (Module 2)” held on 21 September;
  • “The Financial Institutions (Resolution) Ordinance, Cap. 628” held on 21 September;
  • “Market Misconduct and Related Risk Management Issues” held on 22 September;
  • “Corporate Compliance Issues for Listed Companies” held on 23 September; and
  • “Risk Management in Family Mediation Practice” held on 27 September.
