The Hong Kong Academy of Law organised a total of seven courses in November 2018 with a total number of 211 participants. One of the seven courses was “Evaluative Mediation Training” held from 16 to 18 November 2018. The course discussed the different types and models of evaluative mediation and its benefits and disadvantages, how to prepare for evaluative mediation, the use of evaluative tools and skills in the mediation process in all types of disputes, the risks associated with practising as an evaluative mediator and how such risks can be minimised. Professor John Wade, Emeritus Professor of Law of Bond University, Australia was the trainer of the course. 20 participants attended the course.
