The Hong Kong Academy of Law organised 34 courses in April with a total of 1,164 participants.
One of the 34 courses was “Advance Directives (“ADs”)” held on 26 April. The seminar discussed the nature and the scope of ADs, different types of life-sustaining treatments and their potential benefits and harms, advance care planning (“ACP”), ethical principles involved in the decision process and the role of client, his/her family and medical carers in ACP. Dr. K. S. Lau was the speaker of the seminar. The seminar attracted 127 participants.
