Law Student Delegations Visited the Law Society

The Law Society received two delegations consisted of Mainland law students in July. Arranged by the Legal Education Fund Limited, about 50 law students from the China University of Political Science and Law, Zhejiang University, Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, and Nanjing University visited the Law Society on 16 July. Mr CM Chan, Vice President and Chairman of GCLAC, and Ms Catherine Mun, member of GCLAC, introduced to them the Law Society, Hong Kong's legal services, as well as professional ethics and conduct of lawyers.

In addition, 14 outstanding students of the “An Introduction to Legal Services and Risk Management for Cross-border Transactions” jointly organised by the Law Society and Peking University Law School this year visited the Law Society on 29 July to get an overview of the Law Society and the legal services in Hong Kong. Vice President CM Chan, Past President Stephen Hung, Council member Careen Wong, Vice President of GCLAC Henry Wai and Ms Catherine Mun received the delegation and exchanged with the students. Representatives of the Law Society and the course instructors then attended the welcome lunch with the students on the same day and the farewell reception held on 9 August.Mainland law students visiting the Law Society.
