Public Lecture on “The Administration of International Criminal Justice: Challenges and Prospects” by Dr. Olufemi Elias

CUHK Law was honoured to have invited Dr. Olufemi Elias, United Nations Assistant Secretary-General and Registrar of the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT), to deliver a public lecture entitled “The Administration of International Criminal Justice: Challenges and Prospects” at its Graduate Law Centre on 20 November 2018. The lecture focused on the contributions of the United Nations Security Council of the International Criminal Tribunals for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and for Rwanda (ICTR), as well as the IRMCT established as a successor body to these tribunals and the relative merits of the various models that exist and considered the challenges common to them. The lecture attracted participants including academics, legal practitioners and law students to attend.
