Reunion at the 13th Hong Kong 3,000-M Water Safety Swim

Swimming is not just about skills. Aquatic safety is also essential to a swimmer. On 1 May, the Swimming Team participated in the 13th Hong Kong 3,000-M Water Safety Swim held in Repulse Bay. The event was organised by The Hong Kong Life Saving Society and Hong Kong Swimming Teachers’ Association with the aim to promote water safety and prevention of accidents. Swimmers could also demonstrate their endurance in this long distance swim.

The Guangdong Lawyers Association Swimming Team was one of the overseas guest teams in the race. Both the Guangdong team and Hong Kong team treasured this long-awaited reunion moment since the teams competed at the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Lawyers Sports Meet in Guangdong last year. To showcase our hospitality, we hosted a welcoming dinner for our visitors the evening before the race where we exchanged views on different strategies to conquer the waves and shared our latest updates with each other.
