On 9 September, the Law Society’s Table Tennis Team took part in the annual Table Tennis Tournament organised by the Recreation and Sports Club for Hong Kong Professional Bodies (“RSCP”). After a strenuous day filled with hard-fought competitions, thanks to the new blood in the team, we managed to come in third place which was a significant improvement from last year’s result.
Among all the opponents, our team played exceptionally well against the Hong Kong Medical Association (“HKMA”) which was recognised as the strongest rival in the competition, by making a 5:4 win. We were all proud of ourselves who played with good team spirit.
We must take this opportunity to thank the Law Society for its continuous support throughout the years. Besides, every team member deserves a round of applause for sweating and sacrificing their time, despite their hectic schedules, for this annual tournament. They have actively participated in weekly training sessions and sharpened their skills through joining the league games organised by the Hong Kong Table Tennis Association. Some of them even hired a coach for private trainings during their own leisure time.
We look forward to seeing more promising players participating in the tournament next year.
